Nepali الحجاج register through the Nepal الحج Committee أُسس under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Applicants must submit a valid Nepali passport, citizenship certificate, medical fitness report, and vaccination records. The الحج Committee coordinates with the Saudi Embassy in Kathmandu for visa processing. A lottery system may be used when applications exceed the quota. Pre-departure orientation sessions are conducted in Kathmandu and Terai region centers.

The Nepal الحج Committee authorizes a limited number of private الحج operators each year. Pilgrims should verify operator credentials with the committee before booking. The government الحج program offers standardized packages at regulated prices. Community organizations in Terai (plains) districts also assist with registration and preparation.

Nepal's Muslim population is concentrated in the Terai region bordering India. Most Nepali Muslims speak Maithili, Bhojpuri, or Urdu in addition to Nepali.
