Ayat al-Kursi (القرآن 2:255) recited in the morning provides divine protection until the evening. It begins: 'Allahu la ilaha illa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyum' — Allah, there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining. النبي said whoever recites it in the morning is protected until evening.
Allahu la ilaha illa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyum. La ta'khudhuhu sinatun wa la nawm. Lahu ma fis-samawati wa ma fil-ard. Man dhal-ladhi yashfa'u 'indahu illa bi idhnih. Wasi'a kursiyyuhus-samawati wal-ard.
Meaning: Allah — there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation does not tire Him. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.
Source: Al-Baqarah (2:255)النبي (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: 'Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi after every واجب الصلاة, nothing prevents him from entering Paradise except death.' It is the greatest verse in القرآن and provides powerful protection from evil when recited morning and evening.
