Prioritize the five daily الصلوات on time, add the 12 سنة rawatib الصلوات, incorporate tahajjud gradually, and pray in congregation whenever possible — consistency matters most.
The spiritual high of الحج naturally fades as you return to daily life, making it crucial to establish a sustainable الصلاة routine immediately upon returning. Start with the non-negotiable foundation: the five daily واجب الصلوات performed on time. If you were not consistent before الحج, this is the most important change to lock in. النبي (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said الصلاة is the first thing a person will be asked about on the Day of Judgment.
Build gradually by adding the 12 regular سنة الصلوات (rawatib): 2 before Fajr, 4 before and 2 after Dhuhr, 2 after Maghrib, and 2 after Isha. Then incorporate tahajjud (night الصلاة) even if it is just two ركعة before Fajr. Maintain the habit of دعاء after each واجب الصلاة. Pray in congregation at the مسجد when possible, as it carries 27 times the reward. The key is consistency over intensity — a small amount of worship done regularly is more beloved to Allah than occasional bursts of intense worship that cannot be maintained.
