Masjid Quba is the first مسجد ever بُني في Islam, constructed by النبي upon his arrival in المدينة. النبي used to visit every Saturday and pray two ركعةs there. He also said: 'Whoever purifies himself in his house, then comes to Masjid Quba and prays in it, he will have the reward of an العمرة.'
Masjid Quba is about 3.5 kilometers south of النبي's المسجد, easily accessible by taxi, bus, or foot. The مسجد has been expanded and modernized with beautiful white marble architecture and ample facilities.
To visit, perform الوضوء at your accommodation, then travel to the مسجد and pray two ركعةs. Visiting on Saturday follows the السنة. Many tour operators include Quba in their المدينة ziyarah itinerary. The visit typically takes 30 to 60 minutes.
