مسجد عائشة / التنعيم
Masjid Aisha at Taneem is the nearest الميقات point to مكة, located about 7.5 km from المسجد الحرام. It is the place where people already in مكة go to enter الإحرام for a new العمرة. Named after Aisha (RA), who entered الإحرام here on النبي's instruction. The مسجد has facilities for ablution and changing.
Masjid Aisha is named after Aisha bint Abu Bakr (RA), the wife of النبي (PBUH). During the Farewell الحج, she was unable to perform العمرة due to her menstrual cycle. After completing الحج, النبي (PBUH) instructed her brother Abdur-Rahman to take her to Taneem to enter الإحرام for العمرة. The مسجد has been rebuilt and expanded multiple times, with the current modern structure accommodating thousands of الحجاج daily.
Taneem is the closest الميقات boundary to مكة, making it the most convenient point for those already in the city to assume الإحرام for العمرة. Its connection to Aisha (RA) gives it special أهمية. It is the most commonly used الميقات for additional العمرةs during a الحاج's stay.
Masjid Aisha is easily accessible by taxi or bus from anywhere in مكة, with the ride taking about 15-20 minutes. The مسجد is open 24 hours and has separate facilities for men and women, including washrooms, الصلاة halls, and areas to change into الإحرام garments. الإحرام clothing is available for purchase from shops near the مسجد. Many الحجاج visit multiple times during their stay to perform additional العمرةs. Taxis are readily available outside for the return trip to المسجد الحرام.
