الملتزم
The Multazam is the approximately two-meter section of the الكعبة wall between the الحجر الأسود (Hajar al-Aswad) and the Door of the الكعبة. It is a place where الأدعية are believed to be especially accepted. Pilgrims press their chest, face, and hands against this wall while making دعاء.
The Multazam has been recognized as a place of accepted الدعاء since the time of النبي Muhammad (PBUH). Companions such as Abdullah ibn Abbas (RA) narrated that the area between the corner of the الحجر الأسود and the door is the Multazam, and that no one makes دعاء there except that it is answered. Throughout Islamic تاريخ, scholars and الحجاج have given special attention to this blessed spot.
The Multazam is considered one of the places where دعاء is most readily accepted. The act of clinging to this wall (iltizam) is a practice traced back to the Companions of النبي (PBUH). It represents a moment of intense personal connection with Allah.
Accessing the Multazam directly can be very challenging during busy periods. The best time to reach it is during the last third of the night or just before Fajr. Press your chest, cheek, and palms against the wall and make your most heartfelt الأدعية. If you cannot physically reach the wall, face toward it and make دعاء from a distance, as sincerity is what matters most.
