This prohibition is agreed upon by the four schools of fiqh. الشيخ ابن باز stated: 'Marriage during الإحرام is invalid عند جمهور العلماء, and the contract must be repeated after leaving the state of الإحرام' (Fatawa ابن باز, vol. 16). If a marriage contract is performed during الإحرام, the majority hold that it is invalid and must be redone. الشيخ ابن عثيمين stated: 'Any marriage contract concluded while one or both parties are in الإحرام is void and must be renewed after التحلل.'
