Packing for Haji as a woman requires balancing adequate supplies against the reality of moving between locations in crowded conditions. The golden rule: if in doubt, leave it out — essentials can be purchased in Mekkah.
## Clothing Essentials
Pack 3-4 sets of ihram-appropriate clothing in breathable fabrics. Include at least two shalat outfits allowing easy wudhu access. Bring one abaya. Pack 5-7 sets of undergarments. Bring 2-3 headscarves in dark colors. Pack one warm layer for air-conditioned spaces and Muzdalifah nights.
## Footwear
Bring one pair of well-broken-in comfortable walking shoes and one pair of easy-on sandals for masjid entry. Consider slip-resistant soles. Never bring new untested shoes. Pack blister plasters.
## Hygiene and Personal Care
Unscented products during ihram: soap, deodorant, moisturizer, sunscreen. Menstrual supplies for the entire trip plus extra. Wet wipes, tissues, hand sanitizer. Toothbrush and miswak.
## Medical and First Aid
Prescription medications plus five extra days. Basic OTC medicines: pain relief, antidiarrheal, antihistamine, rehidrasi salts. Sunscreen SPF 30+. Bandages and blister plasters.
## Tech and Documents
Phone with IhramOS. Power bank 10,000+ mAh. Charging cable and UK-type adapter. Passport copies physical and digital. Emergency contact card. Saudi SIM card.
## Comfort Items
Lightweight shalat rug. Travel pillow for Muzdalifah. Eye mask. Earplugs. Portable fan. Refillable water bottle. Healthy snacks.
## The Mina Day Bag
Separate small backpack with: two clothing changes, minimal toiletries, medications, phone and charger, shalat rug, snacks, and water bottle. Leave main luggage at hotel.
