Registration is managed through the Haji Committee under DUMK (Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan). Pilgrims apply through regional DUMK offices. Requirements include valid passport, medical examination, vaccination certificates, Haji training course completion, and full payment.
The Haji Committee organizes all official Haji operations. Licensed tour operators work under DUMK supervision. The committee publishes approved operators on its website. Unauthorized Haji trips are prohibited by law.
Kazakhstan has approximately 70% Muslim population, primarily ethnic Kazakhs following the Hanafi school. Haji preparation courses are mandatory. Kazakh and Russian are the primary languages — Arabic language basics are sunnah. Kazakhstan's continental climate means jamaah haji should prepare for extreme panas differences.
