أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever stops at a place and says: A'udhu bi kalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq — nothing will harm him until he departs from that place.'
A comprehensive protection doa is: 'A'udhu bi kalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq' — I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created. Nabi said whoever says this upon entering a place, nothing will harm them until they leave.
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
A'udhu bi kalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq.
Meaning: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
Source: Sahih Muslim #2708Doa ini provides comprehensive protection because 'the evil of what He has created' encompasses all possible harms — from humans, jinn, animals, insects, natural disasters, and any other creation. Nabi's guarantee that 'nothing will harm him' demonstrates the immense power of seeking refuge in Allah's perfect words. It is especially sunnah when traveling and staying in new or unfamiliar places.
