IhramOS uses GPS geofencing to detect your arrival at holy sites and automatically displays relevant ritual guidance, doa-doa, and instructions specific to your location.
IhramOS uses GPS geofencing technology to create virtual boundaries around key ibadah haji locations including Masjidil Haram, Mina, Arafah, Muzdalifah, and the Jamarat area. When your device's GPS detects that you have entered one of these zones, the app automatically triggers contextual guidance relevant to that location without you having to search for anything manually.
For example, when you arrive at the plain of Arafah, IhramOS will automatically switch to the Day of Arafah guide, display sunnah doa-doa, show boundaries on the offline map, and provide reminders about combining shalat. Similarly, approaching Jamarat triggers stoning guidance with the correct sequence.
All GPS processing happens entirely on your device to protect your privacy. Location data is never sent to external servers unless you explicitly enable group location sharing. The GPS tracking is optimized for battery efficiency, consuming less than 5% battery per hour even with continuous tracking enabled.
