What happens if I overstay my Haji visa?

Penalties include fines starting at SAR 10,000 for the first offense with increasing amounts for longer overstays. You may be detained until deportation is arranged at your cost. Most significantly, overstaying results in a travel ban of three to five years, preventing future Haji or Umrah.

Your biometric data is recorded in the Saudi system, making it impossible to circumvent the ban. Additionally, your tour operator may lose their license, affecting future jamaah haji from your country.

Know your visa expiration date and plan departure well in advance. If circumstances prevent timely departure (medical darurat, lost passport), immediately contact your embassy and operator to arrange a legal extension before the visa expires.
