The stoning of the Jamarat (rami) is performed on the 10th, 11th, 12th, and optionally 13th of Dzulhijjah. On the 10th: stone only Jamarat al-Aqaba with 7 pebbles. On the 11th-13th: stone all three in order — small, medium, then large — 7 pebbles each. Each pebble is thrown with the right hand while saying 'Allahu Akbar.'
On the 10th of Dzulhijjah, proceed to Jamarat al-Aqaba — the largest pillar, closest to Mekkah. Stop the Talbiyah. Throw 7 pebbles one at a time, saying 'Allahu Akbar' with each throw. Throw with the right hand. After completing, do not stand for doa — proceed to the sacrifice.
On the 11th, stone all three Jamarat in order after the sun passes its zenith. Begin with the small Jamarat: 7 pebbles with takbir. After it, move to the side, face Qibla, and make extended doa. Then the medium Jamarat: 7 pebbles, then doa. Finally, the large Jamarat: 7 pebbles — no doa after the large pillar.
These are the most frequent errors pilgrims make during this stage of Hajj.

Repeat the same procedure as the 11th. If you wish to leave Mina early (on the 12th), you must depart before sunset. If the sun sets while you are still in Mina, you must stay for the 13th.
If you remained in Mina for the 13th, repeat the stoning of all three Jamarat in order, 7 pebbles each, after Dhuhr. After completing, you may leave Mina at any time.
The Jamarat area is one of the most dangerous locations during Haji. Follow all safety guidelines: use the multi-level Jamarat bridge, go during less crowded times, stay with your group, follow the one-way pedestrian flow, and never bend down in the crowd. If overwhelmed, move to the edges and wait.
The stoning commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's rejection of Shaytan, who appeared three times trying to dissuade him from sacrificing his son. When you throw each pebble with 'Allahu Akbar,' you are symbolically rejecting Shaytan's temptations in your own life.
