Yes, a Tamattu jamaah haji enters ihram for Haji on the 8th of Dzulhijjah from their place of stay in Mekkah. They do not need to go to any miqat. Nabi (shallallahu alaihi wa sallam) commanded his companions who were performing Tamattu to enter ihram for Haji from their dwellings. Sheikh Ibn Baz said: 'The one performing Tamattu enters ihram for Haji from his place — whether his hotel, the Haram, or wherever he may be in Mekkah' (Fatawa Ibn Baz, vol. 16).
