Is it boleh to use scented soap during ihram?

It is not boleh to deliberately use scented soap or shampoo during ihram. Perfume in any form is one of the prohibitions of ihram. Nabi (shallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said regarding the man who died while in ihram: 'Do not perfume him' (Sahih al-Bukhari 1265). Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen stated: 'Scented soap is considered perfume and is not allowed during ihram.' The jamaah haji should use unscented soap. If scented soap is used out of forgetfulness, there is no fidyah.
