Registration is managed through the Hac Committee under DUMK (Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan). Pilgrims apply through regional DUMK offices. Requirements include valid passport, medical examination, vaccination certificates, Hac training course completion, and full payment.
The Hac Committee organizes all official Hac operations. Licensed tour operators work under DUMK supervision. The committee publishes approved operators on its website. Unauthorized Hac trips are prohibited by law.
Kazakhstan has approximately 70% Muslim population, primarily ethnic Kazakhs following the Hanafi school. Hac preparation courses are mandatory. Kazakh and Russian are the primary languages — Arabic language basics are sunnet. Kazakhstan's continental climate means hacilar should prepare for extreme heat differences.
