Pilgrims can travel through NCMF's government-organized Hac program or through private Hac operators accredited by NCMF. A list of accredited operators is published annually on the NCMF website. Pilgrims should verify accreditation status and check operator reviews before committing. Both options are subject to Saudi Ministry of Hac approval.
Many Filipino Muslims are from Mindanao and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region. NCMF provides pre-departure orientation seminars in both Manila and Mindanao. Pilgrims should bring Philippine peso for initial expenses and exchange to Saudi riyals upon arrival. Filipino community support groups are active in Mekke and Medine during Hac. The humidity in the Philippines provides some preparation for Mekke's climate, though temperatures are significantly higher in Saudi Arabia.
