اللَّهُمَّ كَمَا حَسَّنْتَ خَلْقِي فَحَسِّنْ خُلُقِي
The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to supplicate: 'Allahumma kama hassanta khalqi fa hassin khuluqi' — O Allah, just as You have made my creation good, make my character good.
When looking in the mirror, say: 'Allahumma kama hassanta khalqi fa hassin khuluqi' — O Allah, as You have made my outward form beautiful, make my character beautiful too. This dua reminds us that inner beauty of character matters more than outer appearance.
اللَّهُمَّ كَمَا حَسَّنْتَ خَلْقِي فَحَسِّنْ خُلُقِي
Allahumma kama hassanta khalqi fa hassin khuluqi.
Meaning: O Allah, as You have made my outward form beautiful, make my character beautiful too.
Source: Musnad Ahmad #3823This concise yet profound dua connects the outward with the inward, acknowledging that both physical form and moral character come from Allah. Hz. Peygamber (sallallahu aleyhi ve sellem) said: 'Nothing is heavier on the scales of the believer on the Day of Resurrection than good character' (Sunan al-Tirmidhi 2002). Good character is the hallmark of a true believer.
