Hac Mabroor means a righteous, accepted Hac — performed with sincerity, halal funds, proper ritual observance, and avoidance of sin, with its only reward being Paradise.
Hac Mabroor (حج مبرور) comes from the Arabic root 'birr' meaning righteousness and goodness. It refers to a hac ibadeti that is sincerely performed, properly executed, and accepted by Allah. Hz. Peygamber Muhammad (sallallahu aleyhi ve sellem) said: 'An accepted Hac (Hac Mabroor) has no reward except Paradise' (agreed upon by Bukhari and Muslim), highlighting its immense spiritual significance.
Scholars identify several conditions for Hac Mabroor: the intention must be purely for Allah's sake (ikhlas), the money used must be from halal (lawful) earnings, the haci must avoid obscenity, sinful speech, and quarreling during Hac, all rituals must be performed correctly following the Sunnah, and the haci should return home in a better spiritual state than they departed. Imam al-Nawawi noted that Hac Mabroor is one that has no sin mixed into it, while Imam al-Hasan al-Basri said it is recognized by the haci returning ascetic toward this world and desirous of the Hereafter.
