After stoning Cemerat al-Aqaba on the 10th, the sequence is: sacrifice (hady), then shaving (halq) or trimming (taqsir). The sacrifice is wajib for Tamattu and Qiran hacilar. Most arrange it through the official Saudi sacrifice service. Men shave or trim; women cut a fingertip-length from their hair ends. This achieves the first tahallul — all ihram restrictions lifted except marital relations.
The sacrifice is farz for Hac Tamattu or Qiran. The most common method today is through the Saudi Project for Utilization of Hady — you pay the fee (approximately 500-600 SAR for a sheep) and they handle everything. Your Hac operator likely arranged this on your behalf.
If using the official sacrifice service, you may receive a certificate or SMS confirmation. If arranging independently, ensure the animal meets requirements: sheep/goat (at least 6 months for sheep, 1 year for goat), cow or camel (shared among up to 7). The animal must be healthy and free from significant defects.

After the sacrifice, men should shave their entire head (halq) or trim at least a fingertip-length from all sides (taqsir). Shaving is preferred — Hz. Peygamber prayed for those who shave three times and for those who trim once. Barbers are available throughout Mina.
Women cut a fingertip-length (approximately 1-2 cm) from the ends of their hair. This can be done privately. If hair is in braids, cut from the end of each braid.
After completing two of the three actions (stoning, sacrifice+shaving, Tavaf al-Ifadah), you achieve the first tahallul. You can now remove ihram garments, wear regular clothing, apply perfume, and resume all normal activities EXCEPT marital relations. The full tahallul occurs after Tavaf al-Ifadah.
