مسجد عائشة / التنعيم
Masjid Aisha at Taneem is the nearest miqat point to Mekke, located about 7.5 km from Mescid-i Haram. It is the place where people already in Mekke go to enter ihram for a new Umre. Named after Aisha (RA), who entered ihram here on Hz. Peygamber's instruction. The cami has facilities for ablution and changing.
Masjid Aisha is named after Aisha bint Abu Bakr (RA), the wife of Hz. Peygamber (PBUH). During the Farewell Hac, she was unable to perform Umre due to her menstrual cycle. After completing Hac, Hz. Peygamber (PBUH) instructed her brother Abdur-Rahman to take her to Taneem to enter ihram for Umre. The cami has been rebuilt and expanded multiple times, with the current modern structure accommodating thousands of hacilar daily.
Taneem is the closest miqat boundary to Mekke, making it the most convenient point for those already in the city to assume ihram for Umre. Its connection to Aisha (RA) gives it special significance. It is the most commonly used miqat for additional Umres during a haci's stay.
Masjid Aisha is easily accessible by taxi or bus from anywhere in Mekke, with the ride taking about 15-20 minutes. The cami is open 24 hours and has separate facilities for men and women, including washrooms, namaz halls, and areas to change into ihram garments. Ihram clothing is available for purchase from shops near the cami. Many hacilar visit multiple times during their stay to perform additional Umres. Taxis are readily available outside for the return trip to Mescid-i Haram.
