Can seven people share in one sacrificial animal?

Yes, up to seven people may share in a single camel or cow for the Hac sacrifice (hady). This is based on the hadith of Jabir: 'We slaughtered with the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu aleyhi ve sellem) in the year of Hudaybiyah — a camel for seven and a cow for seven' (Sahih Muslim 1318). A sheep or goat can only be offered by one person. Sheikh Ibn Baz confirmed: 'A camel or cow suffices for seven hacilar, but a sheep is for one only' (Fatawa Ibn Baz, vol. 16).
