Hz. Peygamber (sallallahu aleyhi ve sellem) designated Dhul Hulayfah as the miqat for the people of Medine, al-Juhfah for the people of Sham, Yalamlam for the people of Yemen, and Qarn al-Manazil for the people of Najd. He said: 'These are for their people and for anyone who passes through them intending Hac or Umre. And whoever lives within these boundaries enters ihram from where they are, even the people of Mekke from Mekke.'
