Nepali حجاج register through the Nepal حج Committee established under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Applicants must submit a valid Nepali passport, citizenship certificate, medical fitness report, and vaccination records. The حج Committee coordinates with the Saudi Embassy in Kathmandu for visa processing. A lottery system may be used when applications exceed the quota. Pre-departure orientation sessions are conducted in Kathmandu and Terai region centers.

The Nepal حج Committee authorizes a limited number of private حج operators each year. Pilgrims should verify operator credentials with the committee before booking. The government حج program offers standardized packages at regulated prices. Community organizations in Terai (plains) districts also assist with registration and preparation.

Nepal's Muslim population is concentrated in the Terai region bordering India. Most Nepali Muslims speak Maithili, Bhojpuri, or Urdu in addition to Nepali. Urdu-speaking guides in Saudi Arabia can assist Nepali حجاج. The altitude transition from Nepal's highlands to مکہ مکرمہ's low-lying desert is minimal for Terai residents but notable for hill-district حجاج. Nepali حجاج predominantly follow the Hanafi madhab. Currency exchange from Nepali rupee should be arranged through banks. Travel insurance is strongly مستحب.
