Masjid Quba is the first مسجد ever built in Islam, constructed by نبی کریم upon his arrival in مدینہ منورہ. نبی کریم used to visit every Saturday and pray two rak'ahs there. He also said: 'Whoever purifies himself in his house, then comes to Masjid Quba and prays in it, he will have the reward of an عمرہ.'
Masjid Quba is about 3.5 kilometers south of نبی کریم's Mosque, easily accessible by taxi, bus, or foot. The مسجد has been expanded and modernized with beautiful white marble architecture and ample facilities.
To visit, perform وضو at your accommodation, then travel to the مسجد and pray two rak'ahs. Visiting on Saturday follows the Sunnah. Many tour operators include Quba in their مدینہ منورہ ziyarah itinerary. The visit typically takes 30 to 60 minutes.
