The stoning of the جمرات (rami) is performed on the 10th, 11th, 12th, and optionally 13th of Dhul Hijjah. On the 10th: stone only جمرات al-Aqaba with 7 pebbles. On the 11th-13th: stone all three in order — small, medium, then large — 7 pebbles each. Each pebble is thrown with the right hand while saying 'Allahu Akbar.'
On the 10th of Dhul Hijjah, proceed to جمرات al-Aqaba — the largest pillar, closest to مکہ مکرمہ. Stop the تلبیہ. Throw 7 pebbles one at a time, saying 'Allahu Akbar' with each throw. Throw with the right hand. After completing, do not stand for دعا — proceed to the sacrifice.
On the 11th, stone all three جمرات in order after the sun passes its zenith. Begin with the small جمرات: 7 pebbles with takbir. After it, move to the side, face Qibla, and make extended دعا. Then the medium جمرات: 7 pebbles, then دعا. Finally, the large جمرات: 7 pebbles — no دعا after the large pillar.
These are the most frequent errors pilgrims make during this stage of Hajj.

Repeat the same procedure as the 11th. If you wish to leave منیٰ early (on the 12th), you must depart before sunset. If the sun sets while you are still in منیٰ, you must stay for the 13th.
If you remained in منیٰ for the 13th, repeat the stoning of all three جمرات in order, 7 pebbles each, after Dhuhr. After completing, you may leave منیٰ at any time.
The جمرات area is one of the most dangerous locations during حج. Follow all safety guidelines: use the multi-level جمرات bridge, go during less crowded times, stay with your group, follow the one-way pedestrian flow, and never bend down in the crowd. If overwhelmed, move to the edges and wait.
The stoning commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's rejection of Shaytan, who appeared three times trying to dissuade him from sacrificing his son. When you throw each pebble with 'Allahu Akbar,' you are symbolically rejecting Shaytan's temptations in your own life.
