This prohibition is agreed upon by the four schools of fiqh. Sheikh Ibn Baz stated: 'Marriage during احرام is invalid جمہور علماء کے مطابق, and the contract must be repeated after leaving the state of احرام' (Fatawa Ibn Baz, vol. 16). If a marriage contract is performed during احرام, the majority hold that it is invalid and must be redone. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen stated: 'Any marriage contract concluded while one or both parties are in احرام is void and must be renewed after tahallul.'
