Is طواف valid if one has a minor impurity (hadath asghar)?

The majority of scholars hold that وضو is a condition for the validity of طواف, based on the hadith: 'طواف around the House is نماز, except that Allah has permitted speaking during it' (narrated by al-Hakim, authenticated by al-Albani). However, Sheikh Ibn Taymiyyah and Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen held the opinion that وضو is مستحب but not a strict condition for طواف validity. If a حاجی loses وضو during طواف, the safer opinion is to renew وضو and resume from where the circuit was interrupted.
