Is it permissible to use scented soap during احرام?

It is not permissible to deliberately use scented soap or shampoo during احرام. Perfume in any form is one of the prohibitions of احرام. نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said regarding the man who died while in احرام: 'Do not perfume him' (Sahih al-Bukhari 1265). Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen stated: 'Scented soap is considered perfume and is not allowed during احرام.' The حاجی should use unscented soap. If scented soap is used out of forgetfulness, there is no fidyah.
