Before exams or difficult tasks, recite Prophet Musa's dua: 'Rabbi ishrah li sadri, wa yassir li amri, wahlul 'uqdatan min lisani, yafqahu qawli' — My Lord, expand my chest, ease my task, and untie the knot from my tongue so they may understand my speech (কুরআন 20:25-28).
رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي، وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي، وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِنْ لِسَانِي، يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي
Rabbi ishrah li sadri, wa yassir li amri, wahlul 'uqdatan min lisani, yafqahu qawli.
Meaning: My Lord, expand my chest for me, ease my task for me, and remove the impediment from my tongue, so that they may understand my speech.
Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhi #3420Prophet Musa (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) made এই দোয়া before the greatest challenge of his life — confronting the most tyrannical ruler on earth. Allah answered his every request. 'Expanding the chest' means granting confidence, courage, and inner peace. 'Easing the task' means divine facilitation. 'Untying the tongue' means clarity and eloquence. If Allah answered these requests for Musa against Pharaoh, He can answer them for any challenge we face.
رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي، وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي، وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِنْ لِسَانِي، يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي
This is a Quranic supplication from Surah Ta-Ha (20:25-28), made by Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) when Allah commanded him to go to Pharaoh. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encouraged supplicating with Quranic duas as they are the words of Allah Himself.
