When returning from a journey, নবী করীম would say: 'Ayibuna ta'ibuna 'abiduna li Rabbina hamidun' — We are returning, repenting, worshiping, and praising our Lord. He would add this to the regular travel dua upon approaching his hometown.
آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ
Ayibuna ta'ibuna 'abiduna li Rabbina hamidun.
Meaning: We are returning, repenting, worshiping our Lord, and praising Him.
Source: Sahih al-Bukhari #1797নবী করীম (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) would consistently recite এই দোয়া on returning from travel, combining gratitude for safe return with repentance and worship. The traveler's dua is accepted, so even the homeward journey is an opportunity for spiritual gain. Arriving home safely is a blessing that deserves acknowledgment and thanks to Allah.
آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ
When the Prophet (peace be upon him) returned from a journey — whether from a military expedition, Hajj, or Umrah — he would say at every elevation of the land: 'Allahu Akbar' three times, then say: 'La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah... Ayibuna ta'ibuna 'abiduna li Rabbina hamidun.'
