The Day of আরাফাত is the most significant day of the Islamic year and the pinnacle of হজ্জ. নবী করীম (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) said: 'The best দোয়া is the দোয়া on the Day of আরাফাত, and the best thing that I and the prophets before me said is: La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa ala kulli shay'in qadir.' This dhikr should be repeated abundantly throughout the day.
Beyond this specific dhikr, the Day of আরাফাত is the time for the most personal, heartfelt, and urgent দোয়াs. Ask Allah for everything — forgiveness, guidance, health, provision, protection of your family, success in this life and the next. There are no required set duas for আরাফাত; the most powerful সালাতs come from a sincere and broken heart. Make dua in your own language so you can express yourself deeply. Cry if you can — নবী করীম (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) said that Allah descends to the lowest heaven on this day and boasts to the angels about the হাজীগণ.
Practical tips for maximizing your আরাফাত experience: after combining Dhuhr and Asr সালাতs, spend the entire afternoon until sunset in continuous worship. Alternate between dua, dhikr, কুরআন recitation, istighfar (seeking forgiveness), and salawat (blessings upon নবী করীম). Face the Qiblah and raise your hands when making dua. Prepare a written list of duas before the day so you do not forget anything important. Stay hydrated and in shade to maintain your energy for this marathon of worship.
