Establish regular monthly charity, support those unable to perform হজ্জ, invest in sadaqah jariyah projects, and give consistently even in small amounts.
Charitable giving after হজ্জ is both a sign of spiritual transformation and a means to preserve the blessings of the হজ্জ. The experience of standing equal before Allah at আরাফাত — stripped of worldly distinctions — should deepen one's compassion for those in need. Scholars emphasize that one of the clearest indicators of হজ্জ Mabroor is increased generosity upon return.
Practical approaches include: establishing a regular monthly sadaqah (even a small amount given consistently is beloved to Allah), supporting a family that cannot yet afford হজ্জ, contributing to sadaqah jariyah (ongoing charity) such as water wells, Islamic education, or orphan sponsorship, and volunteering your time and skills in community service. নবী করীম (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) said: 'The best charity is that which is given consistently, even if it is small' (Bukhari). Many returning হাজীগণ also distribute gifts and dates from their journey, which is a sunnah practice.
