Summer heat makes outdoor rituals demanding, winter cold affects মুযদালিফা nights, and rain can disrupt তাওয়াফ but is considered a blessing.
During summer হজ্জ, outdoor rituals like standing at আরাফাত for hours, overnight at মুযদালিফা, and the মিনা stay become physically grueling. The stoning of জামারাত in dense crowds is particularly challenging in extreme heat. Authorities have installed misting systems but personal heat management remains essential.
Winter transforms the experience. তাওয়াফ and sa'i become comfortable, but the overnight মুযদালিফা stay can be surprisingly cold at 10 to 15 degrees. Bring warm layers and a blanket. মিনা tents are unheated.
Rain is infrequent but impactful. The Mataf can become slippery, and তাওয়াফ may be suspended. Flash flooding has affected মিনা historically. However, rain during হজ্জ, especially at আরাফাত, is considered a great blessing.
