তাওয়াফ al-Ifadah (also called তাওয়াফ al-Ziyarah) is a rukn (pillar) of হজ্জ — it is absolutely ওয়াজিব and হজ্জ is invalid without it. It is performed after the stoning, sacrifice, and shaving/trimming on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah. The method is 7 circuits around the কাবা শরীফ starting from the হাজরে আসওয়াদ. There is NO raml or idtiba in this তাওয়াফ. After this তাওয়াফ, all ইহরাম restrictions are fully lifted.
তাওয়াফ al-Ifadah should ideally be performed on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah after: stoning জামারাত al-Aqaba, offering the sacrifice (hady), and shaving (halq) or trimming (taqsir) the hair. This sequence is the sunnah order, though scholars differ on whether the order is ওয়াজিব.
Travel from মিনা to মসজিদুল হারাম in মক্কা মুকাররমা. This journey takes 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on traffic. You are no longer in ইহরাম (or in partial ইহরাম), so regular clothing is worn. Plan your timing to avoid peak congestion.

Begin at the হাজরে আসওয়াদ corner. Face it, point with your right hand if you cannot touch it, and say 'Bismillah, Allahu Akbar.' Begin walking counterclockwise with the কাবা শরীফ on your left. Unlike তাওয়াফ al-Qudum, there is NO raml and NO idtiba in this তাওয়াফ — walk at a normal pace throughout all seven circuits.
Complete all seven circuits around the কাবা শরীফ, making sincere dua, dhikr, and কুরআন recitation as you walk. Between the Yemeni Corner and the হাজরে আসওয়াদ, recite: 'Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah wa fil-akhirati hasanah waqina adhab al-nar.' Keep count carefully.
After completing seven circuits, pray two rak'at behind Maqam Ibrahim or anywhere in the মসজিদ if the area is crowded. Recite Surah al-Kafirun in the first rak'ah and Surah al-Ikhlas in the second. Then drink Zamzam water with dua.
After তাওয়াফ al-Ifadah, perform সাঈ between Safa and Marwa if you have not already done so. For হজ্জ Tamattu হাজীগণ, this সাঈ is mandatory and separate from the উমরাহ সাঈ. For হজ্জ Ifrad and Qiran হাজীগণ who performed সাঈ after তাওয়াফ al-Qudum, they do not need to repeat it. After completing this তাওয়াফ and সাঈ, all ইহরাম restrictions are fully lifted.
