مسجد عائشة / التنعيم
Masjid Aisha at Taneem is the nearest miqat point to মক্কা মুকাররমা, located about 7.5 km from মসজিদুল হারাম. It is the place where people already in মক্কা মুকাররমা go to enter ইহরাম for a new উমরাহ. Named after Aisha (RA), who entered ইহরাম here on নবী করীম's instruction. The মসজিদ has facilities for ablution and changing.
Masjid Aisha is named after Aisha bint Abu Bakr (RA), the wife of নবী করীম (PBUH). During the Farewell হজ্জ, she was unable to perform উমরাহ due to her menstrual cycle. After completing হজ্জ, নবী করীম (PBUH) instructed her brother Abdur-Rahman to take her to Taneem to enter ইহরাম for উমরাহ. The মসজিদ has been rebuilt and expanded multiple times, with the current modern structure accommodating thousands of হাজীগণ daily.
Taneem is the closest miqat boundary to মক্কা মুকাররমা, making it the most convenient point for those already in the city to assume ইহরাম for উমরাহ. Its connection to Aisha (RA) gives it special significance. It is the most commonly used miqat for additional উমরাহs during a হাজী's stay.
Masjid Aisha is easily accessible by taxi or bus from anywhere in মক্কা মুকাররমা, with the ride taking about 15-20 minutes. The মসজিদ is open 24 hours and has separate facilities for men and women, including washrooms, সালাত halls, and areas to change into ইহরাম garments. ইহরাম clothing is available for purchase from shops near the মসজিদ. Many হাজীগণ visit multiple times during their stay to perform additional উমরাহs. Taxis are readily available outside for the return trip to মসজিদুল হারাম.
