It is not permissible to deliberately use scented soap or shampoo during ইহরাম. Perfume in any form is one of the prohibitions of ইহরাম. নবী করীম (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) said regarding the man who died while in ইহরাম: 'Do not perfume him' (Sahih al-Bukhari 1265). Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen stated: 'Scented soap is considered perfume and is not allowed during ইহরাম.' The হাজী should use unscented soap. If scented soap is used out of forgetfulness, there is no fidyah.
