اللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا
When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saw rain, he would say: 'Allahumma sayyiban nafi'an' — O Allah, make it a beneficial rain.
When it rains, Nabi would say: 'Allahumma sayyiban nafi'an' — O Allah, make it a beneficial rain. Rain is a time when doa is accepted, so jamaah haji should use this moment to make heartfelt doa-doa during any rainfall in Mekkah or Madinah.
اللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا
Allahumma sayyiban nafi'an.
Meaning: O Allah, make it a beneficial rain.
Source: Sahih al-Bukhari #1032Rain is a mercy from Allah, and Nabi (shallallahu alaihi wa sallam) identified it as a time when doa is accepted. He said: 'Two (doa-doa) are not rejected: doa at the time of the adhan, and doa at the time of rain' (al-Hakim, sahih). Scholars recommend exposing part of one's body to the rain, as Nabi did, saying it has just come from its Lord.
