The doa during a storm or strong wind is: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka khayraha wa khayra ma fiha wa khayra ma ursilat bih, wa a'udhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ma fiha wa sharri ma ursilat bih' — O Allah, I ask You for its good, the good within it, and the good it was sent with, and I seek refuge from its evil.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا وَخَيْرَ مَا فِيهَا وَخَيْرَ مَا أُرْسِلَتْ بِهِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَشَرِّ مَا فِيهَا وَشَرِّ مَا أُرْسِلَتْ بِهِ
Allahumma inni as'aluka khayraha wa khayra ma fiha wa khayra ma ursilat bih, wa a'udhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ma fiha wa sharri ma ursilat bih.
Meaning: O Allah, I ask You for its good, the good within it, and the good it was sent with. And I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil within it, and the evil it was sent with.
Source: Sahih Muslim #899Nabi (shallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was concerned about strong winds because some past nations were destroyed by wind. He never cursed the wind, saying: 'The wind is from the Spirit of Allah. It brings mercy and it brings punishment. So when you see it, do not curse it, but ask Allah for its good and seek refuge from its evil.' (Sunan Abu Dawud 5097)
