رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.
The most well-known doa for tawaf is recited between Rukn Yamani and the Hajar Aswad: 'Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan waqina adhaban-nar' (Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire). This is from Surah Al-Baqarah 2:201 and was regularly recited by Nabi (shallallahu alaihi wa sallam) during tawaf.
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan waqina adhaban-nar
Meaning: Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.
Source: Sunan Abu Dawud #0This comprehensive doa asks Allah for the best of both worlds — well-being, provision, and blessings in this life and salvation, Paradise, and closeness to Allah in the Hereafter. Nabi (shallallahu alaihi wa sallam) used to frequently recite this doa, and Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that it was among the most common doa-doa of Nabi. Imam al-Nawawi noted that doa ini encompasses all goodness and wards off all evil. Shaykh Ibn Baz said that during tawaf, the jamaah haji should occupy themselves with dhikr, doa, and recitation of Al-Al-Quran, and doa ini is among the best to recite.
