Mubah(مباح) A boleh action in Islamic law that carries no reward for doing and no sin for omitting. The person has full choice without any religious consequence. It is one of the five categories of Islamic legal rulings (al-ahkam al-khamsah).
مباح
Mubah is the neutral category among the five Islamic legal rulings (ahkam): fardhu/wajib (wajib), mustahab/sunnah (sunnah), mubah (boleh), makruh (disliked), and haram (prohibited). Most everyday activities fall under mubah — eating, drinking, sleeping, working, recreation, travel, choice of clothing, and similar daily actions. However, a mubah action can change categories based on intention or circumstances. For example, eating is mubah, but eating with the intention of gaining strength for worship becomes rewarded, while eating to the point of harm becomes makruh or haram. During Haji, many daily choices remain mubah even while in ihram, such as choosing which food to eat or which route to walk, as long as they don't conflict with ihram restrictions.
