رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.
The most well-known دعا for طواف is recited between Rukn Yamani and the حجر اسود: 'Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan waqina adhaban-nar' (Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire). This is from Surah Al-Baqarah 2:201 and was regularly recited by نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) during طواف.
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan waqina adhaban-nar
Meaning: Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.
Source: Sunan Abu Dawud #0This comprehensive دعا asks Allah for the best of both worlds — well-being, provision, and blessings in this life and salvation, Paradise, and closeness to Allah in the Hereafter. نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) used to frequently recite this دعا, and Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that it was among the most common دعائیں of نبی کریم. Imam al-Nawawi noted that یہ دعا encompasses all goodness and wards off all evil. Shaykh Ibn Baz said that during طواف, the حاجی should occupy themselves with dhikr, دعا, and recitation of قرآن مجید, and یہ دعا is among the best to recite.
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
