مسجد عائشة / التنعيم
Masjid Aisha at Taneem is the nearest miqat point to مکہ مکرمہ, located about 7.5 km from مسجد الحرام. It is the place where people already in مکہ مکرمہ go to enter احرام for a new عمرہ. Named after Aisha (RA), who entered احرام here on نبی کریم's instruction. The مسجد has facilities for ablution and changing.
Masjid Aisha is named after Aisha bint Abu Bakr (RA), the wife of نبی کریم (PBUH). During the Farewell حج, she was unable to perform عمرہ due to her menstrual cycle. After completing حج, نبی کریم (PBUH) instructed her brother Abdur-Rahman to take her to Taneem to enter احرام for عمرہ. The مسجد has been rebuilt and expanded multiple times, with the current modern structure accommodating thousands of حجاج daily.
Taneem is the closest miqat boundary to مکہ مکرمہ, making it the most convenient point for those already in the city to assume احرام for عمرہ. Its connection to Aisha (RA) gives it special significance. It is the most commonly used miqat for additional عمرہs during a حاجی's stay.
Masjid Aisha is easily accessible by taxi or bus from anywhere in مکہ مکرمہ, with the ride taking about 15-20 minutes. The مسجد is open 24 hours and has separate facilities for men and women, including washrooms, نماز halls, and areas to change into احرام garments. احرام clothing is available for purchase from shops near the مسجد. Many حجاج visit multiple times during their stay to perform additional عمرہs. Taxis are readily available outside for the return trip to مسجد الحرام.
