رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.
The most well-known دعاء for الطواف is recited between Rukn Yamani and the الحجر الأسود: 'Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan waqina adhaban-nar' (Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire). This is from Surah Al-Baqarah 2:201 and was regularly recited by النبي (صلى الله عليه وسلم) during الطواف.
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan waqina adhaban-nar
Meaning: Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.
Source: Sunan Abu Dawud #0This comprehensive دعاء asks Allah for the best of both worlds — well-being, provision, and blessings in this life and salvation, Paradise, and closeness to Allah in the Hereafter. النبي (صلى الله عليه وسلم) used to frequently recite this الدعاء, and Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عن him) reported that it was among the most common الأدعية of النبي. الإمام النووي noted that هذا الدعاء encompasses all goodness and wards off all evil. Shaykh ابن باز said that during الطواف, the الحاج should occupy themselves with dhikr, دعاء, and recitation of القرآن, and هذا الدعاء is among the best to recite.
