What Does Covering the Head (Men) Mean in Detail?

নবী করীম Muhammad (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) instructed that a man who dies in ইহরাম should not have his head covered during the funeral preparation, establishing the importance of the uncovered head during ইহরাম. Men may not wear caps, turbans, helmets, headbands, or any item that sits on or wraps around the head. However, scholars permit the use of umbrellas for shade, carrying items on the head (such as luggage), and the natural shade from buildings or vehicles. If a man unintentionally covers his head and removes it immediately upon remembering, no penalty applies. Intentional covering requires fidyah. Women follow the opposite rule — they should cover their hair but not their faces (according to the majority view).
