তাওয়াফ Dua(دعاء الطواف) Supplications made during the circumambulation of the কাবা শরীফ. While there are no mandatory prescribed duas for each specific circuit, certain দোয়াs are authentically narrated for specific locations during তাওয়াফ.
دعاء الطواف
A common misconception is that specific duas must be recited for each of the seven circuits of তাওয়াফ. In reality, scholars across all four schools agree that the হাজী is free to make any dua, recite কুরআন, or engage in dhikr during তাওয়াফ. The only specific dua established from the Sunnah for a particular location during তাওয়াফ is the দোয়া between Rukn Yamani (Yemeni Corner) and Hajar al-Aswad (হাজরে আসওয়াদ): 'Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah wa fil-akhirati hasanah wa qina adhab an-nar.' At the Hajar al-Aswad, the হাজী says 'Bismillah, Allahu Akbar' when making istilam (touching or gesturing toward the হাজরে আসওয়াদ). Books that list specific duas for each round are generally compiled from scholars' personal recommendations, not from established Sunnah. Pilgrims should feel free to make heartfelt personal dua in any language during তাওয়াফ.
