يوم النحر(يَوْم النَّحْر) يوم النحر is the 10th of ذو الحجة, known as the Day of Sacrifice. It is the most action-packed day of الحج, featuring stoning, sacrifice, shaving, and الطواف al-Ifadah, and coincides with Eid al-Adha.
يَوْم النَّحْر
After spending the night at مزدلفة, الحجاج return to منى on يوم النحر to perform several critical rites. The preferred sequence عند the السنة is: first, stoning the Jamrat al-Aqabah (the largest pillar) with seven pebbles; second, offering the Hady sacrifice (واجب for Tamattu and Qiran الحجاج); third, shaving the head (Halq) or trimming the hair (Taqsir); and fourth, performing الطواف al-Ifadah (also called الطواف al-الحج) at the الكعبة, followed by السعي for those who haven't performed it. After completing the stoning and shaving, the الحاج achieves the first Tahallul (partial release from الإحرام), which lifts all الإحرام restrictions except sexual relations. After completing الطواف al-Ifadah, the second Tahallul is achieved, and all restrictions are lifted. النبي stated that there is no harm in changing the order of these rites on this day. It is also the first day of Eid al-Adha, celebrated by Muslims worldwide.
