মুযদালিফা(مُزْدَلِفَة) মুযদালিফা is the open plain located between আরাফাত and মিনা where হজ্জ হাজীগণ spend the night after the Day of আরাফাত. Pilgrims combine their Maghrib and Isha সালাতs and collect pebbles for the stoning ritual.
مُزْدَلِفَة
After sunset on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah (Day of আরাফাত), হাজীগণ depart আরাফাত and travel approximately 9 kilometers to the open plain of মুযদালিফা, also known as al-Mash'ar al-Haram (the Sacred Monument), as mentioned in আল-কুরআন: 'When you depart from আরাফাত, remember Allah at al-Mash'ar al-Haram' (2:198). Upon arriving at মুযদালিফা, হাজীগণ combine and shorten Maghrib (3 rak'ahs) and Isha (shortened to 2 rak'ahs) সালাতs, following the Sunnah of নবী করীম. They then spend the night under the open sky — there are no tents or structures, making it one of the most egalitarian experiences of হজ্জ. During the night, হাজীগণ collect 49 or 70 pebbles (depending on whether they plan Nafr Awwal or Nafr Thani) for stoning the জামারাত in the coming days, though pebbles may be collected from anywhere in the Haram. The Wajib component is the overnight stay (Mabit), with the minimum requirement being presence at মুযদালিফা during the second half of the night or at Fajr time. Concessions allow the elderly, sick, and women with small children to depart after midnight. After praying Fajr, হাজীগণ make dua facing the Qiblah until shortly before sunrise, then proceed to মিনা.
