Registration is managed through the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (GAIAE). UAE nationals and residents apply through licensed Hajj operators. Requirements include valid passport or Emirates ID, vaccination certificates, and medical fitness report for elderly pilgrims.
Licensed Hajj operators are authorized by GAIAE. The authority publishes approved companies annually. Premium packages from UAE operators often include 5-star accommodation close to the Haram.
Many UAE residents opt for overland travel by bus (approximately 16 hours from Dubai to Makkah). The UAE government provides subsidized packages for Emirati citizens. Residents must have a valid residence visa that extends beyond Hajj dates. Pre-Hajj health screening camps are organized across emirates.
