IhramOS collects minimal data, and all of it stays on your device. We do not have user accounts in v1.0 — no email, password, or personal identifiers are transmitted to any server.
Data stored locally on your device includes: your name and country (optional, for profile display), blood type and medical conditions (for your emergency medical card), emergency contact name and phone number, ritual progress and bookmarks, hydration logs, and app preferences (language, theme, voice settings).
The IhramOS website uses Plausible Analytics (privacy-focused, no cookies, EU-hosted) for anonymous page view counting. The mobile app does not include any analytics in v1.0.
Location data is used entirely on-device for Qibla direction calculation, prayer time computation, and detecting proximity to holy sites (Masjid al-Haram, Safa-Marwa, Mina, Arafat, Muzdalifah, Jamarat). Location is processed locally using your device GPS and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
We request foreground location permission only — IhramOS does not track your location in the background. You can deny location permission and still use most app features (duas, checklist, ritual guide text).
Medical data (blood type, medical conditions, emergency contact phone number) is stored using expo-secure-store, which encrypts data at rest using the Android Keystore system. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Hydration logs (water intake timestamps and amounts) are stored in a local SQLite database on your device. You can delete all health and medical data at any time using the "Delete All Data" button in the app's Profile screen.
Non-sensitive data (ritual progress, bookmarks, app settings) is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. Sensitive data (blood type, medical conditions, emergency contacts) is encrypted using expo-secure-store backed by the Android Keystore.
IhramOS v1.0 is fully offline — no data is synced to any cloud server. All processing happens locally on your device. Future versions may offer optional cloud sync, which will be clearly disclosed and require explicit consent.
IhramOS v1.0 mobile app does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics. No data is shared with any third party.
The IhramOS website (ihramos.com) uses Plausible Analytics for anonymous traffic counting — Plausible is privacy-focused, uses no cookies, and is EU-hosted. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, advertising networks, or any tracking pixels.
You have the right to delete all your personal data at any time. Open the IhramOS app, go to Profile, and tap "Delete All Data" — this permanently removes all settings, medical information, ritual progress, and bookmarks from your device.
Since IhramOS v1.0 stores all data locally and does not transmit it to any server, there is no server-side data to delete. For any privacy-related requests, contact [email protected]. We are committed to compliance with GDPR (EU), Saudi PDPL, and Google Play data safety requirements.
IhramOS is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We will notify users of significant changes to this privacy policy through an in-app notification or a notice on the IhramOS website. The latest version is always available at ihramos.com/privacy.
